The college consists of four departments and two graduate institutes, namely, a bachelor's degree and master's degree (including on-job) programs in Industrial Design as well as Fashion Design, Architecture Design and Communications Design.
The common objective of these studio-based programs is to educate students to have professional, inter-disciplinary, and innovative capabilities. The college participates extensively in international and domestic design competitions, exhibitions, and education-industry cooperative projects.

The vision of the college

• Upgrading international interactions in design education, such as the regular invitation of foreign visiting professors, student exchange programs and education-industry cooperation, and participation in design competitions and exhibitions.
• Enhancement of research and development, including the implementation of three-year (2001~2003) integrated projects, Design in Digital Environment Knowledge, Organization and Innovation, consisting of nine sub-projects, sponsored by the National Science Council, Taiwan.
• Construction of a new Design Building, into which the college has been moved and set up operations in 2003.
